Evening walks....

I love looking at homes. Driving around and seeing how other people live. I love it. I guess thats why I own soooo many magazines. A legal way to peek inside someone elses house..lol.
Driving around I have been know to offer advice on the choice of a different paint color or choice of drapes, once or twice...lol. Ok maybe not directly TO them but to whom ever happens to be in the car with me. Usually its Annabelle. She is loving it too and has her few favorites. And I must say they are the cute ones! My girl has great taste. This little row of homes are just perfect the way they are though and if they ever decide to move out, I will be more than happy to move right in. I would even be willing to help them pack !

Softies Rock !

I have really fell in love with this "Softie" movement. They are everywhere and I think it is so wonderful! People are back to using their time to create things..instead of out having to shop for it. It also makes those items so much more special. I dont know who made this elephant softie but he has a sweet spot in my heart.

He is actually weighed down with something. I use him as a pin cusion! Now that sounds mean after just saying that I love him..lol. I plan on making some softies myself. It is all very very inspiring !

Desk goodies! They keep me busy for hours.....hopefully I can have some of my art posted soon.

Vanity items....

Crabtree &Evelynn makes such pretty little soap dishes. Its a shame I never uses them for that..lol. I have always liked little dishes and containers. I hardly uses my jewelry boxes anymore!

Do you remember these ! ?

I got this little pair of cuties at a sale for .25 cents ! I just could not pass them up. I had the same ones when I was younger. They held perfume at one time. Avon should make them again...dont you think? I would love to buy some new ones for Annabelle......She loves to wear them.

Only a treat here!

My Annabelle made this a couple of days ago on a day out with her daddy. Her and Brian were smiling so big when they came in. She did it all by herself too. She even got a pumpkin for her big brother too! I am so proud of her.

Still cleaning out.....

Whew ! Going through all those goodies you own and trying to decide what goes -and what stays, can be tough. This little beauty was Annabelle's. She really took great care of her for being so young. She has now moved on to her American girls and softies. I think this little red head will find a great new home.

I love my iron hook for my robe. I have three of them and just cant seem to part with them. Look closely, it is shaped like a fish. They were perfect when I did my mermaid theme. Changed again. I am always switching stuff around.

The powder room

I just love things for the bathroom. Little jars for cream, cotton balls. And cute containers for makeup and other toiletries. I love dusting powders.

More linens ! I need them

Oh how I love white lace sheets. They just make you sleep better. It is a fact of life. Layer two or three, with amazing ruffles and lace and you are guaranteed to sleep like a baby. Then a nice down comforter on top ,with tons of euro down pillows under your head........ No boogie man under that bed...lol.

Such pretty material. Maybe make pillow out of it?Hmmm..

I'M BACK !!!!!

It has been sooooooo long since I have been able to blog and it has just been driving me crazy ! Wow I cant believe I am back at it. If you blog and have enjoyed it like me I guess you understand. Well I have new goals to blog daily ! Maybe twice a day if people dont get tired of it!

Here goes.....I am really excited this year for the Holidays. Annabelle (my daughter) is SO excited about this Halloween. So instead of buying new stuff to decorate with this year, we are making our own. And let me tell you we are just loving it. It is so rewarding when your kids love love what you make them. I made this large witch for our living room wall. The hands are traced from Annabelle's so years later I will even be able to remember how tiny her hands were that Halloween. we made paper pumpkins and bats for the front door too. I am really looking forward to making caramel apples, cookies, rice crispy treats, and pumpkin shaped cakes. I think I may even try to make popcorn balls too. No promises,lol. I have just always wanted to try it.
